I need a custom mixed-signal circuit engineered from the ground up to drive an optical wireless communication link. The design must cleanly blend an accurate analog front-end—handling photodiode receive and LED/VCSEL drive stages—with the required digital processing blocks for modulation, clock recovery, and protocol framing. My priority is signal integrity across the entire chain: low-noise transimpedance amplification, precise ADC/DAC selection, and robust high-speed PCB layout that minimises jitter and EMI. Component choices should be commercially available and cost-effective for a small production run. Because the target is an optical wireless channel rather than Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee, you are free to choose or recommend the most suitable modulation scheme (e.g., OOK, VPPM, OFDM) provided the final design can sustain a reliable link at ≥100 Mb/s over a 5-10 metres in typical office lighting. Deliverables • Complete schematic in Altium, KiCad, or equivalent • PCB layout files and Gerbers ready for manufacturing • Annotated BOM with supplier links • Hardware circuit designs (Not Simulation) with validation • Brief design report explaining key decisions and expected performance metrics Acceptance criteria 1. Reliable Trans receiver design 2. Hardware Testing 3. PCB stack-up and differential pair impedances documented. I am ready to answer detailed technical questions quickly so we can iterate efficiently and reach a production-ready design.

As an Electrical/Electronics Engineer and highly qualified PCB Designer with over 8 years of experience, I am familiar with all the requirements mentioned in the project description. I have a deep understanding of analog front-ends like the ones required to handle photodiode receive and LED/VCSEL drive stages along with expertise in digital processing blocks specifically associated with modulation, clock recovery, and protocol framing. Regardless of whether you choose modulation schemes such as OOK, VPPM, or OFDM for your optical wireless communication link, I am well-equipped to deliver reliable solutions at speeds ≥100 Mb/s over office lighting distances. My approach ensures signal integrity across the entire circuit chain by implementing low-noise transimpedance amplification, precise ADC/DAC selection, and meticulous high-speed PCB design techniques which actively minimize potential sources of jitter and EMI. Being skilled in popular PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, and Eagle will allow me to provide all requested deliverables: complete schematic, ready-to-manufacture PCB layout files (including Gerber format), annotated BOM, detailed hardware circuit designs (including validation) and a concise design report elucidating key decisions and expected performance metrics. To me, however, the importance of an effective communication cannot be understated in a highly technical project like this. Inbox to discuss more

Hi, I can design the mixed-signal optical communication circuit covering the complete transmit/receive chain, including photodiode front-end, LED/VCSEL driver, modulation, clock recovery, ADC/DAC selection, and high-speed PCB layout. My approach will focus on achieving the ≥100 Mb/s target over 5–10 m while maintaining low noise, low jitter, and strong EMI performance. I can handle: • Low-noise photodiode TIA design • LED/VCSEL driver stage • OOK/VPPM/OFDM architecture evaluation • ADC/DAC and clock selection • Digital framing and processing interface • High-speed signal-integrity design • Controlled-impedance PCB stack-up • Differential pair routing • Power filtering and grounding • Schematic + PCB layout • Gerbers and manufacturing files • BOM with supplier links • Design documentation and expected performance I can work in KiCad/Altium-style workflows and provide production-ready source files. Physical prototype testing can be performed on your side while I support validation, measurements, tuning, and design revisions remotely. Please share optical wavelength, transmitter power limits, receiver constraints, board size, and preferred interface/processor. Best regards Ankit

Hi, New on Freelancer — 20 years of development experience behind us. We're taking our first few projects here at a fraction of our normal rate purely to build our review history. You get senior agency work at junior pricing; we get a review. Straight trade. integrating a low-noise analog front-end with digital processing requires meticulous attention to signal integrity, especially in optical links. I'd start by evaluating how your current design handles signal isolation and noise reduction. Can you share the specific requirements or constraints for the PCB layout?

I build silicon photonics circuits and they are ready to fit with a traditional silicon computer as an all in one or as a tablet and true tone cell phone. The project t is showing through the formation procedure and just needs to be tested then sold at a high price in stores such as 4500$ for a tablet according to its high powered processors
