I need a complete inductive-type proximity sensor engineered specifically for an industrial automation line. The goal is reliable, repeatable detection of metal targets in a harsh factory environment, with immunity to oil, dust, and vibration. Here is what I expect: • Electrical design: coil geometry, oscillator, signal-conditioning, and a robust output stage ready to drop into PLC I/O (you may suggest NPN, PNP, or 4-20 mA based on best practice). • Mechanical packaging: recommendations for housing, environmental sealing, and mounting so the unit meets typical IP-rated shop-floor conditions. • Documentation: schematics, PCB layout files, Gerbers, full BOM with supplier part numbers, and any firmware if a microcontroller is used for calibration. • Prototype guidance: clear test procedures so I can verify sensing distance, repeatability, temperature drift, and EMC performance once I build the first units. Please highlight any simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, COMSOL, LTspice) you plan to use and let me know how many design-review checkpoints you prefer, so we can keep the project on schedule and avoid surprises.
