Hi, I am a senior embedded hardware/PCB engineer with 10+ years of experience in automotive, power, and mixed-signal electronics, including 12 V power distribution, relay control, protection, and production-ready PCB layouts. I have designed 4-layer boards carrying high-current loads up to 30 A per channel, with thermal/current-density analysis and EMC-focused power routing. Approach ✅ I will develop the complete schematic with 8×30 A ISO relays, 2×20 A mini relays, individual fuses, automotive connectors, reverse-polarity/TVS protection, and flyback suppression. ✅ I will design the PCB with high-current copper paths, appropriate trace/plane sizing, thermal relief, creepage/clearance, and strict separation between power and control signals. ✅ I will finalize the production package including Gerbers, drill, pick-and-place, BOM with locally available automotive components, and DFM checks. Questions ✅ What are the maximum continuous and peak currents expected for each of the 10 outputs? ✅ Do you already have preferred relay, fuse, connector, and PCB dimensions/part numbers from the briefing? ✅ Should the PDM include centralized input protection and reverse-battery/load-dump protection? Best, Yaroslav

Hi, I read through the full brief carefully, including the connector and copper sizing details — this is exactly the kind of automotive power hardware I work on (mechatronics/embedded background, 50+ hardware projects delivered in Altium/KiCad, from schematic to manufacturing files). Quick answers to your questions: - Yes, I've built high-current automotive/industrial boards with socketed relays and blade fuses — happy to share samples under NDA. - For the 100A rail: a copper bus bar for the main path, plus IPC-2152-based trace sizing for the branch channels, calcs delivered with the layout. - Blown-fuse indication: passive LED+resistor across each fuse, no active parts — lights only when the fuse opens and a return path exists through the load. - Relays go on Mini-ISO and micro sockets, never soldered direct — field-serviceable without a soldering iron. - I'll confirm real Deutsch DT vs Molex MX150 availability/pricing in Brazil during M1 before locking the connector. - KiCad 9/10, full editable source files, no restrictions — NDA fine. Fixed price: $450 total, split on your milestone structure ($135 / $135 / $135 / $45), 1-3 week timeline as scoped. Rev B and first prototype support included. Happy to hop on a short chat to confirm board area/enclosure target before M1.

Managing high-current automotive loads requires more than just standard routing; it demands specific attention to copper weight, thermal dissipation, and inductive kickback suppression. I will design your 12V PDM to handle the 30A and 20A relay loads by implementing wide, high-current traces with proper thermal relief and sufficient clearance to prevent heat concentration. I will incorporate flyback diodes across the relay coils to protect your control signals and include TVS protection on the 12V input to handle automotive voltage transients. The PCB will be laid out with a clear, deliberate separation between the high-current power distribution and the switching control logic to ensure reliable operation in a vibrating, high-noise vehicular environment. You will receive a complete design package, including Gerber files, an assembly-ready BOM with accessible components, and a verified schematic that accounts for your specified pinout and footprint requirements. What is the most critical constraint regarding the board’s mechanical footprint or the physical connectors you intend to use for the main power input?
