Questions: 1) Are you replacing only the removable electrochromic/dimming front shield, or the bonded outer cover over the optical combiner? This impacts thickness, wedge tolerance, adhesive choice, and risk to collimation. 2) What optical targets do you need: photopic transmission (e.g., >92%), AR spectral band (nm), max residual reflectance per side, polarization neutrality, and any IR pass needs? Also confirm frame constraints (thickness, edge geometry, mounting/magnets). Suggestions: - Fabricate a clear shield in optical-grade PC or MR-8 with hardcoat, apply dual-side broadband multilayer AR tuned 430–680 nm (R<0.4% per side), add hydro/oleophobic topcoat and edge blackening; hold wedge <3 arcmin and surface flatness ≤λ/4 @ 546 nm to avoid ghosting and image shift. - Provide two options: (a) OCA-bonded clear cover (n≈1.50) to suppress Fresnel ghosts; (b) a drop-in clear shield that preserves the OEM dimming module as a swappable accessory.
