Odoo Cost Field Permission Restriction

I’m running Odoo 19 (Enterprise) and need to stop everyday users from editing the product cost field (standard_price). At the moment anyone can overwrite it, putting our margins at risk. The goal is simple: make that field read-only on every product form and list view for everyone except a small, changeable set of authorised managers. I distinguish those managers by specific user accounts rather than fixed roles, and the exact roster may change over time. Because of that, I’d like a clean, maintainable approach—ideally a dedicated security group that I can toggle per user through Settings—while still meeting the requirement that the restriction is enforced on the frontend (XML) so unauthorised users literally cannot click into the field. Deliverables • XML view overrides that render standard_price read-only for normal users and editable for the authorised group. • Any accompanying access or record rules needed to safeguard the value at model level. • A brief setup note showing how I can add or remove users from the authorised group without touching code. Please keep the solution native to Odoo (no third-party modules) and compatible with the Enterprise edition. I’m happy to test on a staging database as soon as you supply the module or update files.
