About the Project We are developing a diagnostic MCQ generation engine for ACT Math (and later JEE/NEET/CBSE). The system must: Read and decode PYQs (PDF/DOCX/CSV input). Classify questions into subtopics & difficulty levels. Generate MCQs automatically with 3–4 distractors, each linked to error models. Export questions with hints, explanations, and error-model tagging. Freelancer Responsibilities Build a Python-based backend engine for MCQ generation. Implement a PYQ reader/decoder (PDF/DOCX parsing + OCR if needed). Develop logic to map distractors to error models (Sign Error, Formula Misuse, etc.). Add difficulty tagging (Easy/Medium/Hard). Store MCQs in a structured database with metadata. Enable export to DOCX, PDF, CSV. (Optional) Simple web dashboard for content creators. Required Skills Python (core) – question generation, math logic, automation. NLP/Text Processing – spaCy, scikit-learn, Hugging Face. Math Libraries – Sympy for solving/simplifying equations. Document Handling – PyPDF2, pdfminer, python-docx, Pandas, OCR (Tesseract). Database – PostgreSQL/MySQL or MongoDB. Export Tools – DOCX, PDF generation.
