I was going to say I've been simulating your network in GNS3 program and everything is working great with Cisco equipment. I believe your DD-WRT router would do just fine, but it would be great to learn the exact router type and I am sure we can make it work. I believe I understood your request, but we can set the details over chat. It would be great to know the exact type of the DD-WRT router. Mainly we would use 3 VLANs, one for the Primary part of the network, one for the Secondary and the 3rd for the Guest part. DD-WRT should allow us to configure how these VLANs communicate with each other and the Internet. I have set up a diagram in GNS3, I could send it to you later. Let me know what you think. BD

Hello, You need a Linux machine working as a router (WAN to the Internet and LAN for VLAN's) and as a firewall (iptables) on top of your network. Maybe DD-WRT can do the work but it depends on amount of connections, transfers etc. I think that simple linux router - but with normal CPU - would be the best solution. I not sure why you need DNSmasq - if you want to restrict access from WiFI only to local network, then firewall and/or squid (proxy) with restricted list of allowed websites may be better solution. To simplify your network you could use one switch connected to the router via trunk interface to forward vlans to servers / computers / access points etc - but you can use more switches as well. Tplink switches with POE are very good but not so expensive like Cisco or Juniper.

hello. i saw your network topology and i can give you efficient solution to use VLANs and how users can only access web server for all HTTP requests. can you plelase elaborate what is primary andsecondary data?

use Mikrotik with walled garden, its a stable, secure and the hardware wont cost you that much.
