Chokoe gives their customers the opportunity to customize their own products. In the pictures a beer tray is used as the prototype. This beer tray can be replaced by a wide range of products that can be customized by the consumer.
The consumer has to follow a number of simple steps to order a completely customized product. The steps in the process are simple and understandable, giving the website a high usability.
The first step in the process is choosing which product the consumer wants to order. There are various possibilities; beer trays, chocolate bars or gift boxes filled with chocolate bars. By choosing the product, the consumer selects the standfile they will be working in. For example it is not possible to design the part of the beer tray where the holes for the glasses are going to be.
Then the consumer can start the design process. They can decide to choose one of the standard designs from the library , or to design their product themselves.
When they decide to design their own product there is a wide range of possibilities. They can choose their own pictures (as long as they are above 200 DPI) and or text and place that on the product as they please.
For the text the consumer can choose a size, fond, colour, and choose to make the text bold, italic or underlined. They can then decide on the placement of the text, whether they want it horizontally, vertically, or crooked and where on their product they want the text.
For the images it is possible to enlarge or reduce the size and mirror, trim, rotate or move the image to ensure that the design is exactly what the consumer wants.
After the consumer is satisfied with the design they can order the products in the quantity they like. It is also possible to save the project during the designing and continue another time.
The order is then sent to the pressing company in one high resolution PDF (for the design) and in a standfile (to ensure the positioning of the design will be good). The image should be at least 200 DPI, otherwise the quality will be too low to print.
