The task is for experienced .net developers who ideally have some experience with Umbraco CMS and YAF forum engine. Do not bother if you do not have Umbraco experience.
The task is: Umbraco 4.8 + YAF 1.9.6.1 Integration.
What I want: the main website is going to be Umbraco based (Umbraco 4.8). The website needs to have a forum and for the moment YAF seems to be the choice. So what I need is to do an integration of YAF into the Umbraco website.
Both website and forums must use the same membership provider. The user authentication must be cross website, e.g. if user logged on the website, when he goes to forum, he also must be authenticated automatically.
You may give your suggestions on the architecture, but here is my:
I think that it would be better if the umbraco project and forum project live in separate solution folders. But if you think that this is not going to work, you can try to put forum project inside umbraco project into the ‘forum’ folder
Delivery:
1. I want to see a working VS (2010) solution + database.
2. Step by step instructions from you of how you achieved the final result.
The maximum delivery time is 1 week.
