We are a company that uses Barcodes in our products.
The barcodes info is advised by our clients.
We want to use the existing barcodes to track inventory movement within our various points of quality checks.
For example, Item ABC is assigned a Barcode already.
The barcode info allotted to it reveals a Unique Item Code (Item ABC) , its Color and Size.
Everytime this item moves from Quality Check point A to B, its movement should be trackable with key info needed like Time spent in Minutes / Seconds to check Item ABC, get an aggregate count of all ABC items checked at Quality Checkpoint Terminal and this info should be sorted for Each item (Like Item ABC) by Item Name, Size, Color
So, if ITEM ABC has an order qty of 400 units.
It is manufactured in the Following SIze and Color breakdwon:
Color 1 :
Size W 100 pcs
Size X 200 pcs
Size Y 50 pcs
Size Z 50 pcs
This information is entered into the system by an operator along with its corresponding Barcode info (which is in EAN form mostly ) . This is where the referral database is created first so that when the items barcode will be scanned, it will reveal item ABC, Size and Color instead of just revealing a Barcode number which will be of no relevance to anyone without a Layman description attached to it.
The result from the scanning of barcodes should enable the Product team to assess accurately the following:
1) Number of Units manufactured per Item Per Color Per Size
2) Number of Units checked at each Quality check Point
3) Uniquely compile data of Each Check Point and give End of Day Summary
4) Since Quality Check Point 1 is the 1st Quality Checkpoint and Quality Check Point 20 is the last checkpoint, it should reveal clearly that based on Quality Check Point 20 report, how many Units were actually checked Per Size per Color of Item ABC and in how much aggregate time.
This information should be viewable in form of Live reports and End of Day reports on an APP to enable live monitoring of productivity.
Most importantly, the database should be able to be collected Offline at all times and when Connectivity is there, it should keep updating Online to reveal in APP.
Multiple users will be given access to track their department progress.
The system shall generate on-demand and day end batch reports for
o Inventory Count (Excel)
o Time Series data for the goods (Tabular and Graphs)
o Employee productivity data (Tabular and Graphs)
o Escalations and Bottleneck reports (Tabular and Graphs)
o Track the trips of an individual item in case of rejections from any one
The same can be viewed online by the management through the web portal on
the desktops and STR mobile app for the mobile devices (Android Only).
Most importantly, the idea is to use Handheld Barcode scanner to scan barcodes and have all data collected to an Offline/Online Database.
