We are looking for a consultant who is specialized in the development of Realtime location and positioning of objects and assets to design and develop a proof of concept for us using the new Decawave chip family in conjunction with other sensors to obtain a triangulation accuracy of 5cm or better.
The concept would be the mockup of a hand-held device that would have the positioning sensors onboard. Those sensors would interact with beacons that would be positioned around the perimeter of the space. The user would then be able to walk around with the hand-held device and draw a perimeter of their working area. They would then be able to go to the precise co-ordinates within their perimeter and drop locations on their map. They would be able to go to and from these locations repeatedly, always maintaining the positioning accuracy of 5cm or better.
• The intended consultant will need to be familiar with many location based technologies from vision, UWB, LIDAR, IR, TOF. Have a good understanding how to implement various strategies and principles like sensor fusion and Kalman filtering.
• They will need to be experts in embedded software development and Realtime computing.
• Design and packaging of electronics necessary in delivering the POC.
• We are looking for the consultant to quote this piece of work which will then lead to a longer and much larger project.
