Hello -- This project is for mobile application coders with Augmented Reality (AR) skills.
My intent: Bootstrap my personal Android app skills, focusing on Augmented Reality.
Requirement: Simple Android AR 'Hello World' project. This builds an Android app which opens the phone camera and displays a video feed, recognizes a printed QR code, and uses the code as a fiduciary marker to display the string "Hello World: <QR_CODE_CONTENT>" above the code on screen, even as the camera viewpoint changes.
My background: Run-of-the-mill coder with some Java skills. Familiar with Eclipse. Dabbled in app development (Objective-C/IOS) years ago.
I am agnostic to language (C/C++/Java/Kivy are all OK). I prefer open-source tooling (eg, ARToolkit). Hopefully, you've done something similar to this project during your own personal learning experience (or plan to). I hope to leverage your learning.
NOTE: As this a personal learning project, I'm looking to pay $30-50 -- what I'd pay for a good book that provided this example.
I do have a larger project in mind. For now, please think of this as a paid test.
