I hope you can help.
I am working on a project (App) for the iphone which will be using the iphone's GPS functions.
This particular project in this Bid Request will be part of a much larger iphone project.
So, for now, for this particular part of the project I would like to be able to make an App which will display on screen the Longitude and Latitude coordinates of my current position when I hit the button on the App.
If this is possible then I would like also to be able to display a list of all the Longitude and Latitude coordinates covering an area around me of X meters squared (we can agree on the X value later, but it will be no more than about 200 or 300 meters (yards) radius).
I would also like (but is not imperative at the moment) to be able to use a finger controlled slider on the iphone screen to choose/select the area/distance around me that I want to see all the Longitude and latitude coordinates for up to the X value.
What I mean is: with the slider at 0 value I want to display just my Longitude and Latitude coordinates of where I am standing and then be able to move the slider control out to the X value and display the coordinates within the range of 0 to X.
I hope this makes sense?
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, suggestions, ideas or obvious flaws.
I appreciate your time.
Thanks very much.

Hello I needed to send this message to everyone who has kindly replied and posted messages to my Bid Request. Due to my miss-understanding of the accuracy/resolution potential of the Lat/Long coordinate system I will have had to re-think what I am asking of you and try and clarify it. Due to the 'resolution' options (i.e. the length of the actual number of the coordinate that we decide to use, e.g. 55.825819 or 55.82581912345), this needs more thought. (what does Apple SDK use?) However, there may be no need to calculate the number of Long/Lat points in a 100m wide and 100m long box anyway, now that I think more about it. I might just need the coordinates of the extreme points 50 metres in 4 directions (N, S, E, W) from the user's coordinates. This would give me my 100m box area. I am sorry for my unclear request. I will think on it some more and post back here very soon with an update to my Bid Request. Thank you very much for your time and patience. Best regards and I will speak to you soon. Greg
