We're looking for an experienced Android developer to help us convert an existing iPhone application to Android.
We're hoping to build a longterm relationship with somebody to continuously convert the applications we develop, from iPhone/iPad to Android. We currently have several applications ready to be converted and quite a lot which are currently being developed.
The first application we need to have converted works as described:
The application launches and shows a homescreen with 4 buttons - Pressing any of these buttons will load the main navigation view which contains 4 tabs and the corresponding tab will be opened.
Here the user can select a bunch of criterias and then perform a search - The search parses the criterias into an url and then gets the searchresults in return. The results are shown in a custom tableview along with an image and a few information labels. There is a button to save a performed search toa local database for later reuse.
Clicking on a row opens up a detail view of that item which contains a detailed description, a horizontal imagescroller, a map showing a location based on coordinates in the data and a bunch of small textlabels.
Here we display a fullscreen map which gets the users current gps location and sends a request to our server and gets a number of locations in return which is shown on the map with pin annotations. Clicking on one of these pins loads the same detailview as under search. There's an option to select how large a radius you want to see locations within.
This tab has a basic screen with a few buttons to either show news or saved searches.
The news screen downloads a list of news from our server, displays them i a tableview and clicking on a row displays the full newsstory. News are also saved to a local database.
Saved searches shows the saved searches a user has done with the ability to perform a search by clicking on it and eiditng options to rename or delete it.
A simple list of adresses, phonenumber and emails for departments - Loaded from our server.
All data is loaded via HTTP and the data is returned as JSON. Only the news and the saved searches are stored locally in a database.
We will supply all needed graphics, text and data url's for the app.
The app needs to function exactly like the current iPhone version but utilizing Android UI style.
We want to see some references and hear something about your experince in this field along with a preliminary offer including price and timeline.
The candidates that we select will get more detailed information about the conversion including access to the iPhone version to finalize an offer.
We're looking to start the project as soon as possible and no latter than within a few weeks time.
