We have an iPhone application that we are in the process of porting to Android. We will most likely be writing the code ourselves, but would like to contract out the process of creating the XML definitions of the screens to a freelancer. We have screenshots showing exactly how each screen should look (about 40 of them). The bidder's job will be to produce Android layout files that produce screens functionally equivalent to our iPhone screenshots. Most consist of text entry fields, number selectors, etc.
The layout files must work across the range of Android device resolutions -- for example, they should not use absolute coordinates to position user interface elements in a specific part of the screen. Instead, relatively layouts should ensure the application works over the full range of supported Android screen sizes, and in both portrait and landscape modes.
In addition, all strings the layouts (e.g., the labels on buttons and text entry fields) must be localized so that we can translate the UI into multiple languages.
Again, just to be clear, you are bidding to create the XML layout files *only*, not any of the Java code that drives the UI.
