Keeping every image embedded in the text, in the same spot it has on the scan, is the hard part here. Most OCR output drops pictures into floating frames and the page alignment slips. I don't have a past conversion to show you, so I'd rather prove it on your file. I'll convert one page first and you can check it against the scan before I go on. I'd run OCR and then rebuild each page in Word so the headings, boldface, italics and spacing match, with images set inline rather than floating. Page breaks will follow the original, and I'll finish with a light spell-check and a side by side comparison with the scan. How many pages is the scan, and roughly how many images does it contain?
