We are using an external spam-filtering service - MX records direct the mail to the service, then they push the mail to Exchange. The SMTP virtual server is set to only accept mail from this one IP address to prevent spammers circumventing it. This all works great, however I now want POP3/SMTP access for smartphones etc. If I open the SMTP virtual server to all IP addresses, I risk a flood of spam, so I need to set it to require verification. The spam-filter service can't handle this, so I think the solution is to have 2 SMTP virtual servers, one allowing anon access, but only from the spam-filtering service, and one open, but requiring authentication. I need someone to talk me through how to manage this. NOTE: I cannot give you direct access to the server - you will need to talk me through the issue.
