I need a small database project, it will need to handle the following data
Vehicle Reg No
Vehicle Other (just in case)
Vehicle input form to fill Vehicle table
Owner details form, to fill the owner table
Parts Details form, to fill the parts table
I need a basic job or work order form, On entry of the Vehicle Reg Number in a combobox the rest of the vehicle details will fill vehicle data fields from the vehicleID table if the vehicle details are already stored, if not found then the option to add should be avaiable. Owner details will be be the same way with combobox showing lastname/firstname from owner table.
I must be able then be able to enter details of work done, probably as memo as this may well exceed 254 characters
when I enter parts used this will also be via a combobox pulling data from parts table.
Goes without saying that date and invoice number should also be stored
The above workorderform will fill another table which will have the owner ID, Vehicle ID workdone and partsID, with QTY used and unit price , this information will then be used to generate an invoice showing, Owner details, Vehicle details, Work done and all parts used and unit price of parts, this unit price must also be editable on the Job sheet without affecting the other data in the database.. so must not alter the price in the parts table.
