I want to build a system for our office that will quantify each lift of brickwork of a house that is already measured as a whole but not broken down into lifts. These lifts we would put a value on and they would act as the price for the guys doing the work.
I then may want to extend capabilities to track progress on different sites and predict what our invoices will be each month and maybe even producing invoices.
There will be other additions as me and my colleagues think of them depending on cost and practicality.
I have asked for excel developer with access skills as not sure if a database might be more suited to the volume of info we have.
I am the one in our office who is actually interested in the process of writing a bespoke solution and the other guys just want to use it so the developer would be working closely with me on the solution.
