Looking for visual basic programming help to create a standard document creation and archive system. I generate repeatable documents in Word of various types with common data. The data from the documents (mostly Word and Excel formats) needs to be stored in Access database tables for archive and future use. Database should be exportable to Excel and recallable to new types of Word documents. Data entry should be completed through a user form. User form inputs are then stored into Access. The Access data would then be used to create different types of documents from Word or Excel templates.
I envision a standalone Windows-based application with an Access back end database. The program would need a template storage directory for Word and Excel based, customer facing, documents. When a document type is selected, the program gets the template, gets the data from Access, and then fills the template with the data. Other functionality would be added from that point. The goal of this first project is to create one data entry form, store the inputs in an Access database, export Access data to Excel worksheet, populate Word document template with Access data. Design platform Visual Studio 2017 and code language Visual Basic Language.
