Discussion Board assignment objectives: This assessment item requires you to engage in critical debate with your peers on a range of key professional issues relevant to medical radiations practice. You will be required to submit posts to Blackboard discussion board forums related to a range of issues. Furthermore you are expected to provide critical comment on posts by your peers. Assessment guidelines: As a bare minimum you must submit a paragraph of comment, which is your own thread, relating to 5 separate professional issues of your choice. You must also provide critical replies to 8 other posts (or replies) from your peers (these must be in different forums but do not have to be the same as the ones you are commenting on). Each post or reply should not exceed 300 words including key references. You should note that 5 posts and 8 replies is the bare minimum recommended engagement with the discussion forums. You will be marked according to your level of engagement and the quality of your critical comments. Insufficient engagement is unlikely to evidence completion of your learning outcomes. Attendance at relevant problem solving tutorials with a positive contribution will demonstrate your commitment to collaborative problem solving and discussion. Etiquette: You should ensure that your critical comments are provided in a constructive manner with respect for other points of view. You may politely disagree but ensure you maintain a respectful academic manner in your language. Good replies will be supported by relevant evidence or critical appraisal of the original evidence. As this is a reflective submission you will be permitted to use the first person tense (“I think...”etc).
