I’m developing a modular docking & charging station for e-scooters and e-bikes (6 bays: mixed fleet + public use). Right now, I need engineering input to fact-check core specs before moving into CAD and prototyping. Once specs are validated, I am interested in continuing with CAD development and later prototyping but first step is getting the fundamentals right. Focus areas include: Mechanical Actuator sizing (load, stroke, duty cycle, outdoor IP rating) Electromagnetic clamp force for scooters/bikes Enclosure durability (materials, thickness, anti-vandal design) Energy Solar panel area required (~22% efficiency) to support ~20 charges/day LiFePO₄ battery bank sizing for 24/7 uptime + multi-day reserve Load shedding logic (priority fleet vs public slots) Thermal management (passive vs active cooling) Electronics/IoT Controller choice (industrial MCU vs Raspberry Pi CM4) Universal charging connectors (GX16, XT60, Rosenberger, etc.) Smart tip ID methods (EEPROM/NFC/QR) Safety cutoffs (overcurrent, reverse polarity, thermal fuse) Looking for engineers with EV systems, automation machinery, or renewable battery-powered product experience. Please share relevant work.
