Portable 12V Pedal Actuator Prototype

I need a compact, 12-volt device that plugs straight into a vehicle’s cigarette-lighter socket and sits on the floorboard without any permanent mounting. An adjustable arm must press either the brake or accelerator pedal firmly for roughly two seconds, then release. The cycle has to repeat automatically, with a user-set interval that could be as short as four minutes or as long as thirty (or more) and be changeable on the fly. The purpose of the device is to override a commercial vehicles ability to shut off during idiling when programed with idle time restriction and automatic shutdown. Key details • Power comes exclusively from the cigarette-lighter port, so the full design—including motors, logic, and any interface lighting—has to stay within that 12 V constraint. • No screws, adhesive pads, or brackets that leave marks; the entire unit should go in and out in seconds. • The arm material is open for discussion—weight, strength, and cost all matter, so I’m happy to hear options beyond the typical metal, plastic, or carbon-fiber choices. • I’m equally flexible on how the interval is set. A physical knob, a small screen, a phone link—or something entirely different—are all possibilities as long as it is intuitive and reliable inside a car environment. Deliverables 1.
