Hello, the main challenge is turning the existing concept into a professional, modular enclosure that looks commercial while remaining low cost, serviceable, and practical to fabricate with aluminium extrusion, panels, and simple fastening methods. I would review the existing CAD and fabrication references first, then refine the frame, panels, electronics mounting, ventilation, cable routing, access points, and assembly details with future product variants in mind. I have worked on robotics enclosures, industrial product design, electronics housings, aluminium extrusion, sheet materials, and prototype ready CAD documentation and can share relevant examples once we connect in chat. Also a quick question, are the current internal electronics dimensions and mounting locations already fixed, or can the enclosure architecture be adjusted around the final component arrangement? I’m Kaif Hasan. I saw your project and wanted to help you. I’d refine the robot around a modular 20×20 extrusion frame, serviceable panels, clean cable routing, and fabrication-ready joints so V1 stays low-cost while supporting future versions. 1. Can you share the existing STEP, DXF, PDF drawings, and reference CAD for review? 2. Do you already have the exact dimensions and mounting requirements for the electronics and speaker/microphone components? I’m new on Freelancer, but I have 7+ years of experience, and I’m offering the most reasonable rates to build great client relationships. A robot that looks good in CAD is easy. Designing one that can actually be fabricated, assembled, serviced, and reproduced is the real challenge. That’s exactly where I can help with KOORMEX Mini V1. I can refine your concept into a manufacturing-ready SolidWorks assembly with the aluminium extrusion frame, panels, mounting points, service access, cable routing, ventilation, fasteners, DXF files, technical drawings, BOM, and assembly details. I’ve also worked on a real electric golf car project, where I designed the chassis, performed FEA using SolidWorks/ANSYS, and took the design to actual manufacturing. So I’m used to thinking beyond the CAD screen and considering how the parts will actually be fabricated and assembled. If you send me your current STEP/DXF/PDF files, I can first review the design and identify potential fabrication or assembly problems before they turn into prototype cost. Are you looking for someone to deliver only the CAD package, or CAD + physical prototype fabrication?

Hello, I can take the CAD/design phase of KOORMEX Mini V1: review your STEP/DXF/PDF references, refine the 20 x 20 mm frame and service panels, reserve measured spaces for the SBC, audio, power and wiring, then prepare STEP, panel DXFs, assembly drawings, cut lists and a BOM. I have an original parametric reception-robot enclosure concept with STEP and DXF exports here: https://www.freelancer.com/portfolio-items/11610575-robot-enclosure-cad-concept. It is a concept study, not a fabricated robot. My bid is $20/hour for the CAD phase; I estimate 20-30 hours over 5-7 days after receiving the source files and component dimensions. Physical prototype fabrication, materials, shipping and tooling are excluded from this bid and should be quoted separately by an India-based fabricator after CAD approval. Could you share the existing files and the exact dimensions/mounting patterns of the electronics? I can then confirm the design scope and handoff for your local prototype team. — Abdel

Dear Client, For a commercial AI receptionist robot, the body design must do more than look attractive—it must provide a rigid structure, clean electronics integration, easy maintenance and a practical path from one prototype to small-scale manufacturing. I have 11+ years of product-development experience across 500+ assignments involving electronics-enclosure integration, 3D modelling, STEP-based fit checks, 3D printing, DFM and prototype development. My approach: Concept Review → CAD Audit → Mechanical Architecture → Electronics Integration → Manufacturing Drawings → Prototype Fabrication I would focus on the 20×20 mm aluminium extrusion frame, acrylic/ACP/PVC panels, removable service access, stable base, speaker/microphone/LED openings, electronics mounting, ventilation and fasteners while keeping V1 simple and cost-effective. I can support 3D CAD refinement, STEP/STP, DXF laser-cut files, PDF manufacturing drawings, BOM, aluminium cut lists, assembly drawings, panel details and prototype fabrication, with attention to future modular versions. Two important questions: 1. Are the SBC, speaker, microphone and PSU dimensions already frozen? 2. Should V1 accommodate a future display module without changing the main frame? If you message me, I’ll identify the first three mechanical decisions I would lock before fabrication to ensure the prototype is professional, serviceable and ready for future production. Kind Regards, Avi Gupta Quality is never an accident

Hi! I'm an electronics technician who designs and builds functional enclosures in Fusion 360, so a robot body that has to house speakers, mics, LEDs and electronics is exactly my kind of project. In my portfolio you can see a custom robot case I designed around an Alexa smart speaker, plus several electronics enclosures. How I'd approach KOOR Mini V1: 1. Review your STEP / DXF / PDF files and send you a short list of mechanical issues and fixes before anything gets cut. 2. Rebuild the full CAD: 20x20 extrusion frame, 3 mm flat panels, removable rear service panel, base with rubber feet, and internal mounts for speaker, mic, LED face, electronics shelf, cable routing and ventilation. 3. Keep everything flat-panel and low-cost: no curved moulds, standard fasteners, simple to assemble for 1 unit and later 10-100+. 4. Deliver STEP, DXF per panel, PDF drawings with dimensions, a BOM and assembly notes. Since I understand the electronics side, I'll make sure heat, cable paths and service access actually work, not just look good. Note: I'm based in Argentina, so I'd handle all the design, drawings and fabrication files remotely for your local workshop. I can also 3D print small custom parts (mounts, grilles, brackets) if useful. Could you share the current files? I'm happy to start with the design review. Thanks! Lautaro - NEWWAVE3D
