Fanuc/CNC programming and design.

Hello there!

I need someone to do the following tasks -

Job 1. For a given part drawing (fig.1) prepare manually CNC program.

The material of the blank is low carbon steel.

Job 1.1. Choose appropriate cutting tools for roughing, finishing, grooving

and threading, using the tool selection guide of Sandvik Coromant.

Job 1.2. Choose appropriate cutting conditions (cutting speed, feedrate,

depth of cut), when using cemented carbide insert tooling. Draw the selected

cutting tools.

Job 1.3. Calculate spindle speed.

Job 1.4. Select appropriate CNC Lathe using available catalogues.

Job 1.5. Make the Geometric plan (part drawing, machine zero, reference

point and start point).

Job 1.6. Write program manuscript.

Job 2. For a given part drawing (fig.2) prepares a part program for a wire

electric discharge machine using special language Fanuc – Cut.

Job 3. For the same part (fig.1) and same conditions (as for manual

programming) prepare a part program using the special language Fanuc – Turn.


a) For all three jobs make your own drawing in appropriate scale.


Design a Spindle unit for a Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) with following parameters:

- motor power - P 15 [kW];

- speed of rotation n 150 ÷ 8000 [min-1];

- maximum cutting force Fz 10000 [N];

- timing belt drive of spindle.

Make the necessary calculations and prepare the drawing of the unit.
