Given is code of a meshgrid based version of conformal map image transformation without imtransform (CM_Grid_BasicVP_1_01.m).
1) Conformal map image transformation with imtransform ([login to view URL]) offers the parameter sets uData, vData and xData, yData. The first has influence on the shape of singularity regions in the result image (NaNs interpreted as black regions) applied to the same mapping function. The task is to extend the given code to those four parameters to get additional influence of the singularity regions.
2) In the meshgrid based version up to now the definition of the mapping function is made within the main program using the (x+1i*y)-formulation like fxiy = (1/2./(6.*(((x+1i*y).^3))+1)). It would be more convenient to define such a formula in the parameter section in a z-formulation given as a string like fz_string = '(1/2./(6.*z.^3+1))'. This requires a string replacement and applying str2func but the coded function xform3() is not working as intended. The second task is to fix this function.
