In this challenging role, the Sponsorship, Exhibition & Advertising Sales Manager will be responsible for creating new business relationships and securing sponsorship investment for our regional business conferences. You will need to work closely with the programme team within our dynamic and vibrant organisation to generate sales deals for securing new business and managing existing ones.
You will need to feel comfortable leading detailed conversations with senior members of the industry where you will identify and discuss current issues that their businesses face. You will need to achieve monthly revenue targets by being proactive, managing your own pipeline and ultimately selling sponsorship solutions. As the events that you sell on are international, you must be able to close high value revenue deals over the telephone, as well as being happy to network with your clients at our events.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Generate sponsorship sales revenue in line with agreed targets & objectives
• Work with programme director to ensure agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met on a consistent basis
• Uphold the mission values and goals of our organisation
• Build excellent sustainable client relationships
• Interact with senior business decision makers in a credible and commercially focused way
Sponsorship, Exhibition & Advertising Sales Manager Requirements:
• A proven track record in B2B sales environment
• Strong closing abilities
• Excellent working understanding of consultative sales approach
• The drive and determination to succeed within a highly competitive industry environment
• An analytical approach to problem solving
• Excellent team working skills
• Strong business development skills
• An open-mind and can-do attitude
• Any experience of SPIN selling would be beneficial
(Experience in the conference and exhibition industry will be advantageous but not necessary).
