We are a U.S.-based luxury skincare company developing a new premium skincare line and are looking for a French/English-speaking freelancer based in Paris or the surrounding area. We need someone who can work as our local coordinator in France and help us communicate with cosmetic laboratories, ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, and other relevant companies. The ideal person should understand how the European cosmetic industry works and have familiarity with EU cosmetic requirements and the practical process of developing and manufacturing skincare products in Europe. Main responsibilities: 1. Ingredient sourcing * Identify reputable European suppliers for natural, organic, and synthetic cosmetic ingredients * Contact suppliers and obtain current pricing, MOQs, availability, lead times, and samples * Request technical documentation such as INCI information, specifications, SDS/MSDS, COA, certifications, and other relevant documents * Help coordinate purchasing and shipment of ingredients 2. Cosmetic laboratories & manufacturers * Identify reputable cosmetic formulation laboratories and manufacturers in France/Europe * Communicate with laboratories on our behalf * Provide them with our ingredient information and product requirements * Help coordinate formulation, samples, testing, revisions, and production discussions * Obtain quotes, MOQs, timelines, and manufacturing requirements * Arrange and attend meetings or site visits when appropriate 3. EU/France business and regulatory coordination * Help us understand the practical requirements for establishing a company or business presence in France/EU for our skincare business * Identify the appropriate professionals (accountant, lawyer, regulatory consultant, etc.) when specialized advice is required * Help us understand the basic requirements for importing, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping cosmetic products within Europe * Help identify potential EU cosmetic regulatory requirements and flag issues that need review by a qualified regulatory professional 4. Local coordination & logistics * Act as our local point of contact when communication in French is required * Translate French communications and documents into clear English * Coordinate samples, ingredients, documents, and shipments * Attend local meetings or supplier/laboratory visits when necessary * Take notes and photos during visits when permitted 5. Reporting We need organized and concise updates throughout the project and a final report containing: * Supplier/laboratory/manufacturer contact information * Pricing and MOQ comparisons * Lead times * Ingredient and product documentation * Sample status * Important regulatory or logistical considerations * Recommended next steps * Any potential risks or red flags Requirements: * Fluent French and English * Located in Paris or the surrounding region * Able to travel within the Paris area * Experience with cosmetics, skincare, cosmetic ingredients, formulation, laboratories, or beauty manufacturing * Familiarity with the European cosmetic industry and EU cosmetic regulations * Strong communication and organizational skills * Comfortable communicating directly with French companies and suppliers Important: We are looking for someone who can actually work with us on the ground in France, not only perform online research. This will initially be a small project of approximately 2–5 days. If the relationship works well, we expect additional work and potentially an ongoing role as our local coordinator. Budget: Our target budget is approximately $150–$200 per day depending on experience. We are also open to discussing a fixed fee for clearly defined tasks. Please include in your application: 1. Your location 2. Your experience in the cosmetics/skincare industry 3. Your experience working with French laboratories or ingredient suppliers 4. Your knowledge of EU cosmetic requirements 5. Your daily/project rate 6. Your availability 7. Examples of relevant projects you have worked on

Hello, I understand you are looking for a France-based local coordinator. I would like to clarify that I am not located in France/EU, but I have strong contacts with European manufacturers, cosmetic laboratories, ingredient suppliers and other industry partners. I have successfully handled numerous sourcing and product-development projects for clients in Europe, UK, USA and other markets. I specialize in custom-formulation cosmetics, covering both color cosmetics and personal-care/skincare products. I can manage your project from ingredient sourcing and formulation coordination through sampling, manufacturer selection, production, quality inspection and shipment. I can assist with: • Sourcing reputable European suppliers / manufacturers • Obtaining Complete quotations • Coordinating formulation, samples, revisions and production • Collecting EU compliance certifications • Supplier negotiations, documentation, logistics and shipment • Organized supplier comparisons, progress reports and risk identification I have 24+ years of international sourcing and procurement experience and extensive supplier networks across Europe, China, India, Vietnam and other markets. While I cannot attend meetings physically in Paris, I can provide strong remote coordination and sourcing support through my European network. I would be happy to discuss your initial project and share relevant cosmetics projects I have completed. Best regards, Surendra Sharma

Navigating the European skincare market can be tricky, especially with ingredient sourcing and regulatory requirements. If not handled properly, it could lead to delays and compliance issues that slow down your project. I can help streamline the process. I’ll identify reliable suppliers, manage communication, and ensure all necessary documentation is gathered. I’ll also coordinate with local laboratories and manufacturers to keep everything on track, so you can focus on your brand. I understand the nuances of the European cosmetic industry and will work closely with you until you're completely satisfied with the results. To tailor my approach, I’d love to know more about your specific timeline and if you have any existing partnerships with suppliers or labs. Additionally, what kind of documentation do you currently have in place?

Hi there, I’d love to help make this project a great success for you. A Genius in Trouble sounds like the kind of project where strong character expressions and consistent visual comedy can really bring the writing to life. I understand that the manuscript, dialogue, characters, and illustration placements are already finalized, so my focus would be entirely on building a distinctive visual identity and maintaining consistency throughout the book. I’d suggest starting with 2–3 character/style samples before moving into the full illustration set, so we can lock the visual direction early.

Hello, You need someone in Paris who keeps your sourcing moving, chasing suppliers and labs in French, organising quotes, MOQs and documents, and giving you a clear picture of the next decision. That is exactly the kind of work I want to do with you. I'm Paris-based and fluent in French and English. I run S2M, a small Paris studio. My edge is a structured, partly automated sourcing workflow: supplier and lab shortlists, French outreach and follow-ups, quotes, MOQs, lead times, INCI specs, SDS, COA and certifications, all tracked in one comparison sheet you can read at a glance. My proposal: the first month is free. I'm launching this service and I'd rather prove it on your project than talk about it. You get the full work for that month: sourcing, contacting suppliers and labs, follow-up calls in French, documents collected, weekly updates and a final report. Freelancer requires an amount on a bid, so I have entered a symbolic $150. You only release it if you're happy at the end of the month. If you want to continue, my rate is about 25% below the usual rate for this kind of coordination: around $130 per day, or a monthly retainer we set together. Your questions: 1. Location: Paris. I can visit labs and suppliers in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. 2. Cosmetics experience: to be straight with you, I'm not a cosmetic chemist and I haven't worked for a skincare brand. I bring a sourcing and coordination method, native French, and fast, well-documented reporting. 3. French labs and suppliers: no existing relationships to sell you. I'll build the shortlist from scratch and share every contact and exchange with you. 4. EU requirements: I know the framework (Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, EU Responsible Person, CPNP notification, product information file, safety assessment by a qualified assessor, labelling and claims rules). Anything that needs a formal opinion goes to a qualified regulatory professional, and I flag it clearly. 5. Rate: first month free, then about $130 per day or a monthly retainer. 6. Availability: I can start this week. 7. Examples: I build structured reports for demanding clients. In blockchain forensics, my reports are used by lawyers. I'm happy to show you a sample supplier comparison sheet before you decide. A quick question to start well: are you targeting natural/organic ingredients only (COSMOS/Ecocert), or a mix with synthetics, so I can focus the first supplier list? Tom Weisz S2M, Paris

I have already established a business in France and built a European business network. Your project is ambitious, and I can be available 2 to 4 days a week on a flexible basis.
