Magento 2 Developer - Initial Small Fix

Hello, we have a magento 2 website, we want to duplicate and back this site up.
When the site is in default mode, it runs fine. When we put the site in Developer mode via SSH it errors on the front end.
We need this fixing so we can then make a duplicate of the site for a developer site to then hire a freelancer to do further work.
This should be a quick fix for anyone who understands magento 2 and it will then lead onto more work as we will then have a dev space for you to work on.
