Purpose of the module is to allow the user to select a brand new REPORT (from the existing REPORTS menu) to check the profit margin in a certain period.
Components and concepts
3 values are needed to be stored and linked together:
item's SALE PRICE , stored upon customer's order.
item's THEORICAL COST, stored upon customer's order together with the SALES PRICE. this value is the cost of the item in right the moment when an order is received.
item's REAL COST, stored upon order's confirmation to supplier. this value is the cost of the item in the moment of order confirmation to supplier. it should be the same of the Theorical cost, but it may depends on the time passed between the order received and the order's confirmation.
In the backend report page , customer may be able to select the followings :
and so he will see all the items ordered in the selected period, in a table-view like this:
CUSTOMERS_EMAIL , ORDERS_ID , ORDERS_DATE/TIME , ITEM , QTY , SALE_PRICE (for qty=1) , THEORICAL COST (for qty=1), REAL_COST (for qty=1)
please note the real_cost may be at 0 if that item is still to be ordered to supplier!
Also, these informations must be shown :
TOTAL OF SALES in the period (sum of all orders items*qty*sale_price)
TOTAL THEORICAL COST in the period (sum of all orders items*qty*theorical_cost)
TOTAL REAL COST in the period (sum of all orders items*qty*real_cost)
