Our target platforms should be this: PHP 8.3 or 8.4 MariaDB 11.4 or MySQL 8.4 OpenSearch 2.x (search engine) Composer 2.8+ Latest compatible Redis/RabbitMQ/Varnish versions One IMPORTANT thing to note here is Magento has replaced Elastic Search with OpenSearch in 2.4.8 What it means for you? It means after upgrading to 2.4.8-p3, search will break or Magento will fail readiness checks unless you migrate to OpenSearch. You will need to: install OpenSearch server update Magento config to use OpenSearch reindex catalog search This is one of the main real upgrade tasks. if you are using OpenSearch already then there will be no issue. This will impact the efforts required for this project by a lot. So, I think this is the most important thing for now, that you should confirm with your developer. If you want to evaluate me and test, I am open for it. We can start small and you can award only when you are ready.
