I need someone who runs linux to assemble and document a
working configuration of WINE ([url removed, login to view])
for preferably a IE6.+ MS internet explorer (ie 5.5 if 6.0 n/a) install and a JAVA JRE install on same environment so as
to be able to see java applications working in the IE
on WINE on Linux.
People have documented (i.e. gogole-groups, [url removed, login to view])
that it can be done, but one has to be carefull to use relatively
recent versions and follow some of the tips at [url removed, login to view]
you can get the older copies of IE from microsoft site
This will be a breeze for someone already running IE on WINE on
Linux, that just has to document a fresh install so that
I can reproduce it.
I will be using this on open-SUSE 10.1 but the environment]
should work, or be tried on any Linux.
It can be judged sucessful based on loding and running a few
java apps from the internet, i.e. some java games, etc.
I realize it will not be perfect but obviously it needs
to run some Java applications in IE to be deemed a sucessfully
