We are looking to add an individual to our web hosting support team to help answer tickets on our helpdesk.
We are a small web hosting company so we are cost-sensitive, however there is plenty of potential for growth as we are growing rapidly, and plenty of work to keep you busy and learning new things everyday. Please keep in mind when compiling your proposal that because we are a small company who is working hard to grow and expand, we are cost-sensitive for the time being... however there will always be opportunity to expand and grow with us down the road. We keep all of our staff members for a long-term basis, some staff have even been with us for 6+ years and counting. We are seeking a candidate who is interested in working and growing with us in the long-term, not just the short term. That said, our initial starting budget for this role is budgeted at $275 to $300 per month currently, however requests for pay increases will be eligible after being with the company for 6 months. There will be future growth opportunities, and unlimited potential and most importantly a very rewarding/fun job especially for server enthusiasts.
We will consider applicants from anywhere in the world as we are a remote team! For example, we have team members from Ukraine, Sri Lanka, India, United States, United Kingdom and more so there is really no geographic requirement. You will be working with a 100% remote-based team and communication between your colleagues will be done via Skype.
We provide shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting and dedicated server solutions. Applicants with previous experience in this particular field is something we will look for. We are looking for someone who has a basic understanding with SolusVM, cPanel/WHM, SSH, how to professionally deal with customers, etc. And most importantly one who can work in a fast-paced environment and understand what our customers need/want.
What this role entails of is you will be answering support tickets in our helpdesk, and doing it quickly, correctly and efficiently. An average staff member is able to answer about 50 to 80 tickets in a 8 hour shift so that will be the expectation after you are fully trained etc. All communication to our clients is done via the helpdesk, so you won't need to worry about answering phone calls or anything like that.
Here are some requirements for the role:
- Must be able to dedicate time to work for us on a 8 hours per day/5 days a week shift - and clock in during those working hours using our time management system called Time Doctor
- Able to work and adapt with a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Great customer service skills - must be a solutions-oriented "can do" individual.
- Able to be independent and work without much guidance/supervision
- Willingness to grow within the company, learn new things and expand knowledge
- Previous web hosting industry experience is strongly preferred
- Basic Technical Experience/Understanding with cPanel/WHM, SolusVM, OpenVZ, KVM servers
