Hi,
i would like to use open-iscsi in a self-compiled Xen Dom0 enviroment.
Therefore, i have fist to compile linux-xen-source (quite easy), install xen and
than compile open-iscsi against the linux-xen-source-tree build before.
Because this xen-kernelsource-tree differs from a "normal" vanilla linux-kernelsource-tree,
openiscsi does not compile out of the box.
** Task to bid for:
- Implemetation
- compile openiscsi against a vanilla xen3.2-testing sourcetree
- Create a process README descibing the way
- Create a patch-file (generated via diff)
related to your modifications in openiscsi and/or xen
- Integration+Testing
(i will do this for you - if you want and if i get a working=compiling openiscsi-source from you)
- Installing the openiscsi on our running system (Fedoracore8, Xen3.2-testing is still running good ;-)
- Test: import(discover, login+logout) a iscsi-LUN from a
available iscsitarget.
** Output artifacts:
- README, describing the way to adapt openiscsi to xen
- patch-file's reflecting your modifications
** Information:
- You must not "install" xen-binries to your system
- You can build the hole system (xen+openiscsi) without installing it
- If necessary, i will give you access to out testsystem
