If a callback arrives before your app reconnects, or if the user dismisses the prompt mid-transaction, you need a solid pattern to reconcile what actually happened on Safaricom's end with what your app thinks happened. I'd structure this around a callback listener that logs and validates every response, then queries transaction status independently if there's ambiguity. Paired with a clean state machine on the UI side, you avoid the common pitfall of showing success when payment is still pending, or vice versa.
