I developed a website for an organisation with approx 8000 members, the website currently employs Joomla.
To control access to certain areas of the website by employing user accounts. ( perhaps a members area)
That upon logging onto the web site there is a public version and then a members area that is only available to a user unless s/he uses the ‘User Login’ option.
The organisation already employs a members database, this would need to be imported into the CMS and controlled by an admin from within the organisation.
The following questions would also need to be addressed.
How users gain an initial password (is it generated by office staff and then the user has a ‘change password’ option)?
Who/how are memberships maintained and updated?
Problems with account access – is it back to you or do the office staff have a roll in resolving?.
Is it possible to integrate such functionalities within Joomla?
If so please provide details and an estimate on timeframe and costings.
