hello and thank your for taking the time to read my post. Here is my problem, I am looking to have a navigation bar on the left side of my page. With in the navigation bar, I want a few buttons/link to expand into additional drop down options. When these links are expanded I want it to "push" the page down to account for the enlarged/expanded new links. I have found a script that semi does what I need. It can found at [login to view URL] and is called the Windows XP style sliding dropdown menus. I have found it to be semi-working the way I need it to. In fact, it works exactly the way it should.
However, I need to modify it so that only certain links expand. I have attempted to modify the CSS and JavaScript to make it so that only the "topItem" is listed when for the links I dont want to expand. But when I modify the scripting of the page for only the "topItem" and none of the other classes it removes all of the mouseover effects, like changing the button and also disables the hyperlink of that item. In addition, it appears to remove the formatting of all links which follow that item.
I hope I have been clear in my explanation. You can view my testing page at [login to view URL] Im looking for a prompt reply on this. I would like to get this accomplished as soon as possible. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you and seeing your bids.
