This is a hobby project for reading foreign language learning podcasts that have transcripts. It will take the transcript from a podcast and parse it into phrases and the user will use the keyboard to make timestamps of the phrases as the mp3 podcast is first played. Then the software can higlight the text during reading, replay phrases when clicked on, permit playing at a different speed (with the playbackRate attribute of the audio tag), show pictures during reading, etc.
I have a budget of $100 per week for several weeks, so propose the number of hours in the week and your availability. Issues will be posted on github and will be assigned to either you or me. ([login to view URL]) Each issues will take 2 or 3 hours each and we would coordinate who will work on what task as the project proceeds. Bidders should be familiar with using the github work flow for software development. The database most likely to be used will be mongodb and nodejs for any serverside work, although html/css/js will be much of the task.
I can do this all on my own, but would enjoy and appreciate the help of someone interested in the project and that can contribute to it working well.
Respond with your experience and understanding of the technology for this project and your ability to contribute to the success of the project.
I am a native English speaker and the initial work will be with Spanish podcasts
