I represent an author who needs a Mac Mojave OS solution. The author uses an app called “Write or Die” on his MacBook Pro as an important part of his writing. This app incentivizes him to generate a certain word count within a time. The app does not support formatting (tabs, italics, bold, etc…) so he has to copy and paste his generated text into Microsoft Word 365 and then format the text there. While this is working, it’s not ideal as he prefers to format as he generates his text rather than going back over the text again to format it. He is looking for an all-in-one solution that provides both the word count vs. elapsed time progress indicators AND the formatting ability.
The ideal solution is to create an add-in for MS Word 365 that handles the word count vs. time frame progress indicators. (Word already provides all the formatting tools he requires and is the editor he’s used to using.)
The developer of this solution must be strong in Mac Mojave, and Word 365 add-in creation.
The “Write or Die” app should be downloaded and examined since this is the functionality being copied. The author does not require the reward/consequences functionality of the app. He wants to input a goal word count, and a time frame within which to reach his goal, and then see two progress indicators in Word showing how his current word count progress is vs the current elapsed time percentage.
