I need to get a macro developed for Excel 2003 on Windows XP (or similar script) which undertakes the following:
I have an Excel spreadsheet that I download every week. I have a column in the spreadsheet that contains names in it. I need the cell contents in this column to be copied into a browser (Internet Explorer) so that the cell contents may be searched on the site's database (the website is: [url removed, login to view] and requires a login). Once I determine if I want to prinit the results of the database search (I will do this manually), I need the macro to repeat for the next cell in the column until I can search the web database for each of the names in the Excel spreadsheet's column.
I don't know if it is an Excel macro that I need or something else. My knowledge is limited with which program may be able to take data from Excel and move to another Windows application to enter into the browser. If it is a VB Script or Java Script (or other?) that can achieve the same result, you will need to show me how I operate it.
I believe this is do-able, but I don't have the time to figure it out myself.
