PRIVATE: Auto Login to Flickr using Python and pycurl

PRIVATE: DO NOT BID. This is for kamosion

Project Description:

To be provided: A python/curl framework that reads login/password information, manages authentication sessions and processes two example pages. However, due to changes in flickr authentication, this framework no longer successfully authenticates (though it did up until a few months ago) and hence it can not successfully process the following pages (since they require authentication):

[url removed, login to view]

[url removed, login to view]

The problem appears to be due to changes in the way yahoo login persists captcha challenge results.

Once a user successfully responds to a captcha challenge, the results are somehow cached, so that person isn't presented with captcha again. Previously the framework worked, because once captcha was manually provided, automated login would then succeed (because captcha was no longer required). However, due to some yahoo change, automated login is failing, even after the captcha is manually provided. Though I'm not certain what the specific authentication bug is.

This project is to make auto authentication work again. That is, if captcha is required, a person will be able to login manually to respond to the captcha challenge, then after that point automated login shall succeed. The framework will then be able to extract the photo information for the above two pages.

I've attached the code. Flickr auth process has changed in such a way to break this code. Upon further investigationI don't think its actually captcha related.

1) To execute in no auth mode: python [url removed, login to view] -n

That way you can test the two images that do not require auth

2) To execute with auth: drop the -n option

python [url removed, login to view]

3) These lines set up the two tests:

# Auth required for these

testTask = Task(1, '[url removed, login to view]', 1, 1)

testTask2 = Task(2, '[url removed, login to view]', 1, 1)

# Auth NOT required for this test

testTask = Task(1, '[url removed, login to view]', 1, 1)

testTask2 = Task(2, '[url removed, login to view]@N00/5764127195/', 1, 1)

The Flickr API introduces severe rate limiting and poor performance, so I'm trying to avoid it.

When you execute with auth, then comment out the last two tasks (that don't require auth), to verify you can download the two restricted images
