We are looking for Java Programmers that will be working directly with our CTO to mine data from other web sites. Our prototype (Java environment) uses Apache HttpClient and Mozilla Rhino to perform site authentication and content parsing. The first general need is to retrieve a user's Rewards Program account information. A Rewards Account is an account such as Mariott Rewards, United Skymiles, Chase Rewards, etc. These are programs for which the user has asked our system to go retrieve this data on either an immediate, or a scheduled basis. They have provided for us their user name and password for this purpose.
The second need is to be able to perform air travel searches on airline web sites. Specifically, we want to search for flights which the user can book using rewards points. We have a Java class that represents most of the features available via search forms, but that will need to be applied to a wide variety of actual search capabilities.
We are looking to hire programmers immediately because we would like to integrate 8-10 different site scrapings into the site by August 20th. We are extremely flexible in terms of hours and can work with any schedule.
We are a Boulder-based Colorado start up that is creating tools to solve problems for frequent flyers. The site utilizes information from airline sites (seating availability, primarily for award seating) to help people use their frequent flyer miles more effectively.
