A program that counts the number of times per second a loop runs around at and is displayed in eg Hz. Displayed to bash window or similar.
I want to torture particular java code/functions for speed differences at the source code level.
I must be able to modify and build with ANT.
I do not wish to use an IDE.
The java program should say "// your code here"
The program should exit on ESC key press.
The frequency counter should a resolution exceeding several 100's of MHz.
Its for my use with the YaCy Search Engine. [url removed, login to view] It is open source.
Currently I make a lot of changes to the YaCy source code with QB64 and am unsure if it makes any difference.
Feel free to ask me questions I have searched various sites and have found not quite what I wanted.
You wont find the code on google I have looked already.
Maybe an advantage to have some code in the public domain so I can look at basically what you have done in the past. I know mostly BASIC and have been doing it for many years.
