Audience: completely new to coding (8-14 years old)
Limitations: a school environment which has limitations in terms of what software is available and associated costs
Look and Feel: the look and feel of the course needs to be fresh, exciting and young. Since the audience is 8-14 and completely new to coding, it would be great to keep the feel and not to be too focused on theory/philosophy, nor should it be too long. The focus is more about what you can create and an opportunity for them to try to create something.
Brief: introduce the audience to Java
Create a DOCUMENT outlining: what Java is, how does it work, what can you do with it
Create a short VIDEO outlining: this is how I use Java in my work (and possibly some examples of your work)
Create a RESOURCE list: supplementary reading, or videos to watch to provide additional information on Java
Please get in touch ASAP if you want more information. There is the potential for on-going work in the educational technology field. Specifically skills in games development would be interesting. It would be great if English could be your first language (or if not, it will need to be a strong second language)
