I am working on an LBS location aware app for iPhone, Android, and Java, which does NOT rely on GPS.
After some research and according to my needs I have decided upon using the "My Location" feature from Google Maps Geolocation API as my solution, behind the scenes, in my software.
There is no real project or solution required, it is more of a 'proof of concept'. it is more of a theoretical issue with a simplistic code sample as proof of concept.
The solution required is an answer to the following question + proof:
Can I use Google's "My Location" feature (which does NOT rely on GPS) from Google's API's behind the scenes in my software, for iPhone and Android and possible Java (mobile), without installing the Google maps application itself?
+ simplistic code sample (as simple as possible with minimum UI)
Also, what is the limit number of free accesses to Google's Geolocation API?
