Looking for an experienced Liferay theme developer to develop a custom theme for a social-focused portal deployment. Liferay version is 6.0.6 running on [url removed, login to view] using vaadin for some custom portlets.
Liferay 6.0.6 theme development general specification.
The requirement is for a compiled hot-deployable .war theme compatible with Liferay 6.0.6 running in tomcat 6.0.29 on a linux os variant. Uncompiled source code is a also a required deliverable.
The developer will not include any proprietary source or code in this project, as the result will become the exclusive property of Medalstand
The theme must be compatible with FireFox 4.x+, IE 8.x+, and Safari 5.x+ browsers.
The theme will be used in all public and private views within the Liferay portal implementation.
The theme background will be black (or very dark).
The theme will be designed considering that the content portlets will be arranged following "golden ratio" width and height grids/guides/layouts. For example the "home" page of the portal will be designed to a 960 x 593 work area, with the intent to eliminate the downward scroll. If scrolling down is required on any page in the portal, the pattern will repeat. This design guide is also expected to help mobile access user experience.
Story-board images exist for the primary navigation and general layout. The content portlets that this theme will highlight are incomplete and stubs will be used.
Of particular interest for this theme, aside from the general envelope of the portal (color, nav, layout, text, etc) are the signup, login, and account/profile data entry screens.
Payments can be made in milestones; Initial prototype, Iteration A, Final Acceptance, if desired by the developer.
Final product is expected to be complete within 7-14 days from completion. Sooner is acceptable but we're sensitive to the possibility of time-zone impacting communication schedules.
