I currently emcee a pub trivia game using powerpoint. I show a slide with questions, people submit answers, and I show the next slide with the answer (simple black and white fonts and pages). I use three sets of powerpoint per event. I have to switch to the next PP file because there is a tie-breaker at the end of each round for the leaders (they win a round of beers for winning the round). If there is no tie-breaker, I do not want to reveal that Q&A (for use at another night).
I type up the questions in PP, then either connect to their AV system via laptop or their own system (I bring a disk or email it to myself.)
I want improve the presentation, and am not sure what would be the best way to do so.
Here is what I would like:
1. The same setup of question, then answer, but with a more "slick" design.
2. Compatibility with MS Office or another easy (for me) application to change the questions and answers (each week is a new game).
3. The ability to have (and obviously change each week) a "photo tile reveal" slide, where portions of a photo are slowly revealed from a movie still or similar photo, and the first person to provide the correct answer wins a drink.
4. A "splash" page where I can insert an introduction page with my logo and other graphics.
I have a minimal knowledge of photoshop, none of flash. I am not a tech guru, but not an idiot, either.
This is on a personal budget.
Thanks in advance.
