Business Negotiator & Japanese Interpreter – Tokyo-Based (Retail/Franchise Focus)

We are seeking a bilingual business professional based in Tokyo, Japan, with strong experience in business negotiation, interpretation, and retail/franchise communications, to represent us in discussions with a well-known Japanese fashion brand. This role involves facilitating initial business contact, interpreting live or written communications (English-Japanese), and assisting in discussions related to a potential exclusive retail partnership or franchise operation in Switzerland. Represent our business interests professionally in Tokyo. Initiate and maintain contact with the brand head office. Interpret verbal and written communication (English ↔ Japanese). Attend meetings (in-person or virtual) and support with follow-up communications. Advise on Japanese business culture, etiquette, and negotiation best practices. Support with potential contract review, franchise/distribution terms (with legal input as needed).
