1) Member walks into our gym and signs in at one of our kiosks (Ipad).
- Sign- In: Wirelessly sync their FitBit into our system and choose their profile.
o Purpose – To be able to track the amount of calories the individual has burned while using our facilities.
I’m guessing that we would need to create a profile for each member so that we can build a database of their results.
2) Member is through working out and must “check-out” at our kiosk (Wirelessly).
- Difficulties I see are taking an individual’s Fitbit that has a running total on it and then being able to net out the difference….aka attribute “sign-in and check-out” calories for our database.
o Example: Jon “signs-in” at a total of 2000 calories burned today according to his FitBit. After a strenuous workout he then “checks-out” at a total of 2500 calories.
I need our system to just account for the 500 calories burned
My question is: Can the application do all of this or is it a combined effort with software?
I have spoken with Fitbit and they assure me that this can be done. This is the link that they sent me to help me further along in the process.
