We are a web developer based in Australia, and we have several customers interested in having us create and manage Adwords campaigns for their new sites.
As there will be no pre-existing AdWords intelligence, the first part will be to set up a basic campaign with a few ads and maybe 20 keywords. Then, each week, take the best performing keywords and create ad groups with their own ads etc. As time goes on, add additional features such as call outs, special pricing etc.
We would like to structure this as about 10 hours a month per customer. In the first month, the initial setup will take a bit longer, so 4 hours week one, then 2 hours for week two three and four. After that, continue the campaign doing 2.5 hours per week. Each week adding new keywords, creating Adgroups, optimising Adgroup keyword lists, and trialing new ads. Also adding to the negative keywords list, and in addition, at the end of each month, generate a basic report showing what's happened etc.
The goal is for the project to run over about 6 months, after which we should have quite an effective campaign, and go back to the customer to get them to commit to more time / budget. At all times, the Google budget will be in control of our customer, and they will be deciding their daily budget spend. We can advise them to spend more daily budget when required etc.
We are planning on signing up customers regularly. Right now, we already have one signed up who we are managing, and one more about to sign up. So when we have 2 locked in, we will engaging a Freelancer.
Just to restate, It is 10 hours per month per customer. So we will be bringing 2 customers initially and then adding as we sell more.
